Representatives of Carpathian Foundation participated in 17th Annual Grantmakers East Form 2012 hold on September 19-21, 2012 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event has been dedicated to the opportunities of developing civil society initiatives by connecting donors’ efforts in the region. About 152 representatives of donor organizations from 26 countries have attended the forum.
Buddies’ project web-page has been developed and serves as online resource for stakeholders of buddy concept. The information may be obtained at www.buddies.org.ua about participants and organizations working with buddy projects may be obtained, as well as the training materials etc.
Carpathian Foundation Ukraine initiates a workshop within Buddy project: It Takes Two. Sustaining Buddy Projects in Ukraine. The event is organized for the participants from eight organizations supported within the program and will take place on July 20-21 in Uzhgorod. During theoretical and practical sessions the participants will be assisted to develop projects’ sustainability policies.
The selected of the proposals has been completed and eight grants awarded. The total budget of the granted projects is 92 500 euro. Organizations in 3 oblasts will be implementing projects to sustain buddy concept in Ukraine:
