Truly Together 2.0 (Project is finished)

Carpathian Foundation Ukraine launches as a partner Truly Together 2.0 project which is initiated and implemented by Karpatska nadacija, Slovakia with th efinacial support of Slovak Agency for International Development.

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the civic society development and to the higher quality of governance of territory in the Carpathian part of Western Ukraine thorugh transfer of the Slovak experience so that it helps to effectively functioning state administration and civic society. The target group is young people (under 35) – representatives of NGOs in both rural and urban environments in four  border regions of the Western Ukraine – Zakarpattia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi regions.

The project will last from October 2015 to October 2017 and enlarge knowledge and increase comprehension of reform processes in area of civic society building and decentralization of public administration by transfer of experience from Slovakia. Project wants direct involvement of young people – representatives of NGOs into planning, preparation and implementing of community developmental activities with focus on the principle of participativeness. Expected results will be direct involvement of young people into public affairs and enforced cooperation between public and third sector on the local level. The main tool – activity will be an already verified and very successful grant scheme for the small developmental projects in the local level focused on participation.

Also, a capacity building of young people – representatives of NGOs by reinforcing their skills in the area of project management and presentation skills and by training in the Slovak environment will increase. Expected results will be better skills of NGOs representatives and better quality of project proposals, better presentation skills, more information about work of NGOs in Slovakia and direct contacts creation with the Slovak NGOs representatives. The first activity will be two-day training about the project management. The second one will be two-day training, focused on presentation skills improvement. And representatives of NGOs with awarded projects will take part in the study tour in Slovakia in order to better know the Slovak NGO environment, exchange experience and make direct contacts.
