EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

As part of the Early Childhood Development Program, the Carpathian Foundation supported five NGOs that provide services directly to the target group.

We intend to present supported initiatives, and the first of them – “Confident of well-being”, implemented by the NGO “Helping Hand”. The aim of the project is to help parents of preschool children, and this can be achieved through the following tasks:

– To increase the capacity and confidence of Roma parents as the first teachers of their children, in the development of their children, including in supporting their preschool and primary education.

– Improve the quality of educational services for children of preschool and primary school age, which will be based on personality-oriented, inclusive principles, with the active involvement of parents in the educational process.

– Ensure effective interagency cooperation to address issues related to the additional needs of Roma children.

The target group of the project is unorganized children from 2 to 3 years old in Uzhhorod, Mukachevo, Berehovo, parents of these children; girls – Roma of middle and senior school age of schools of Uzhhorod, Mukachevo and Berehovo and teachers of schools where Roma children study.
